Harvest Palm noodles are an all-natural product with only four ingredients: heart of palm, citric acid, salt, and ascorbic acid. Since heart of palm is a vegetable, it is naturally gluten-free. It has not been genetically modified (non-GMO) and is high in nutrition and essential vitamins.

We package our product in glass jars and BPA-free vacuum packs because of the possible health effects and we would like to guarantee the best product for you.

Same great taste as grain-based pastas with only 15% of the calories.

Heart of Palm is a vegetable well-known for its high nutritional value. It is naturally gluten-free, high in Potassium, Zinc, Vitamin C, and dietary fiber. At Harvest Palm, we made a conscious decision to minimize salt in our process in order to maintain the natural low sodium properties of our product, unlike many other heart of palm products that are packaged in salt brine.

Unlike many other pastas or pasta substitutes, our product does not contain additives such as Xantham Gum, Riboflavin, or Thiamine Mononitrate, among many others. By going into our Nutrition section you can learn more about the benefits of our product. Or you can click here to compare the contents of Heart of Palm with other pastas and pasta substitutes.

You’ll be able to enjoy your favorite pasta dishes simply by substituting Harvest Palm pasta in your favorite recipes. Find Harvest Palm pasta in our Shop.

For added convenience, we have included many of our favorite recipes that have been tested in our family’s kitchens under our Recipes section. We have created a special cut of the Harvest Palm product line that we call ‘Salad Bits,’ which are perfect for soups, pasta salads, and fresh salads. For the traditional Heart of Palm consumer, our product line includes ‘Salad Cuts,’ which is a form that many people are already familiar with.

How is this different then the Palmini brand?

Palmini and Harvest Palm both start with the same vegetable: Heart of palm.
Palmini uses fumaric acid to bring the pH level down to prevent botulism, we use citric acid to achieve the same or similar results. Citric acid is more commonly used in food processing.
Palmini packages in cans and m metalized stand-up pouch; we use glass jars and a bpa free plastic vacuum pouch. The cans are susceptible to dents and the metalized pouch may leak if creased during the shipping and handling. For evidence, see the Palmini negative reviews on Amazon. Our glass jars may break during shipping but we believe that we have developed the correct packaging to prevent this from happening.

Palmini ships their product with a lot of fluid. For example, their pouch shows a gross weight of 12 ounces with a drained weight of 6 ounces. By comparison, our product contains very little fluid, our package contains 8 ounces of product. During packaging, we add about 5% to allow for the fluid that in the pouch.

Interestingly enough, they use the gross weight on Amazon to calculate price per ounce. Their pouch is currently sold for $7.99 on Amazon. It shows with a price per ounce of $0.67. The math on this is $7.99 divided by 12 ounces, the price per ounce is $0.67. The drained weight on their product os 6 ounces, which gives a true cost per ounce of $1.33. We sell 2 boxes of our spaghetti or fettuccine for $15.00. The net weight of 2 vacuum packs is 16 ounces. This works out as a true cost per ounce of $0.94. By the way, if you buy our 8-pack at the current price, the cost of our product is $0.594 per ounce.

I’m curious about the texture. I can’t handle the crunch of spahetti squash or shiritake noodles.

I’m not sure how it stacks up against squash or shiritake noodles. Harvest Palm noodles are high in fiber and a vegetable. Yes, there is come crunch. Most of our customers have commented favorably about the crunch.

What a wonderful alternative to pasta. We have turned to using spaghetti squash as a lower calorie alternative to the pasta recipes we love. The Harvest Palm products give us more of the advantages, with the additional benefit of convenience and good taste. We used it under my wife’s home made pesto, and were thrilled. We can’t wait to try it with the family tomato sauce. This is a winner!
